Roses Blooming in Our Garden in June and July, 2017.

We presently have 9 different roses blooming in our garden. Eight of them are in full bloom and the 9th one, Florentina had just a couple of flowers opening when I was taking the pictures for this post and I see it is making many new flowers.
Four of these roses are here the 3 rd year and 5 of them are pretty new and were purchased at various times last year.
Eden Climbing Rose.
Here is one of my favorite roses this year – Eden climbing rose, which I have purchased around May 2016 from our local Vandermeer Nursery. so this rose is in our our garden a little bit more than a year. Last year it just had a few flowers and some of them were very beautiful, but other looked average. It was growing a lot and I had to cut it quite a bit this spring. Definitely it is a climbing rose.
This year so far it is a very nice surprise. It has many very beautiful, full-looking flowers which are white cream with light pink centers. You can see it in two pictures I am attaching to this post.

Ebb Tide Rose.

Another nice surprise this year is Ebb Tide rose, which I have also purchased last year later during the summer. Initially it was blooming a bit then almost stopped blooming for at least a month to occasionally rebloom later during the summer. Last year it was extremely hot summer, so some of my roses were not blooming at all during this very hot and dry spell, even if I was watering them almost every day.
This year Ebb Tide rose started blooming around the last week of of June, like most of my roses this year, and it is all covered with beautiful, rosette shaped flowers of various shades of dark pink, violet and purple. I hope it will continue blooming for a long time. I have noticed it attracts many beneficial little predatory wasps. I am attaching a few pictures of Ebb Tide rose to this post.

Lilli Marlene Rose.

It is a floribunda rose, which was hybridized by Reimer Kordes in 1959. It is also called Lilli Marleen or KORlima.
Still pretty small in our garden, Lilli Marlene Rose, which I have purchased on sale just for $3 last year in the late fall, has also survived the winter. Now it already blooms quite well with very dark red – crimson colour flowers. I think they are quite charming. It is growing on the left side of our garden, quite close to Eden rose, where it received direct sunlight in the afternoon.
This rose will probably remain pretty small. It can grow to about 20″ -30″ (50 to 75 cm) and spread of about 2′ (60 cm).

Good as Ground Cover or Along a Path or Border – Abbotsford Rose.

This is my second rose of this kind. The first one I have bought in 2015 and planted in front of our house. Because it is so far growing quite well and blooming from around June till late fall, I have decided to purchase a second rose of this kind. I have planted it in the middle of our garden, close to the old tree trunk. The first rose of this kind we have is located from the East side of our house and receives several hours of sunshine in the morning, the second one is in full sun for the most of the day.

I will see how the second rose of this kind will be be doing. So far it seems quite happy and blooming profusely with different colour flowers from white, through light pink to dark lavender colour. The flowers are pretty small, but very numerous. I hope it will be blooming as well as the first rose of this kind we have. You can see below our first Abbotsford rose blooming in front of our house.
